Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Alpha Fitness Tracker handles information through this website and the mobile app when it becomes available.

1. Our privacy commitments

Alpha Fitness Tracker is being designed around data minimization and user control. We do not sell personal, health, fitness, meal, or workout information. We do not use this information for cross-app tracking or behavioral advertising.

2. Information we may collect

The information handled depends on the features you choose to use.

  • Account information: email address, authentication identifier, and account preferences.
  • Profile and wellness inputs: age in years, height, weight, activity level, goal, unit preferences, and optional body-fat estimates.
  • Nutrition records: foods, servings, nutrient snapshots, meals, favorites, and custom entries.
  • Training records: availability, equipment, preferences, plans, workouts, exercises, sets, and progress.
  • Optional photos: meal images submitted for an editable food and portion estimate.
  • Optional HealthKit data: only the categories you explicitly authorize when that integration is available.
  • Technical information: limited diagnostics needed to operate, secure, and improve reliability without placing raw health records in analytics.

This public website does not currently offer user accounts or collect app wellness records. If you email us, we receive the information you include in that message.

3. How information is used

  • Provide, synchronize, and support the features you request.
  • Create explainable, provisional nutrition and workout recommendations.
  • Maintain the integrity and security of accounts and records.
  • Respond to support, export, correction, and deletion requests.
  • Measure reliability using restricted, non-sensitive operational data.

4. Meal-photo analysis and automated suggestions

If meal-photo analysis is enabled and you choose to use it, the image is sent through a private processing flow to create candidate foods, portions, confidence, and follow-up questions. A suggestion does not become a food-log entry until you review and confirm it. Nutrient values must come from a named nutrition record or your explicit entry—not a model’s memory.

Meal photos are intended to be deleted after analysis by default unless you explicitly choose to save them. The final release policy will identify active processors and precise retention periods before this feature is enabled.

5. HealthKit

HealthKit access, if offered, is optional and requested in context. Alpha will not use HealthKit information for advertising, marketing, or sale. You can change Health permissions through Apple’s settings.

6. Service providers and disclosure

We may use carefully selected providers for hosting, authentication, nutrition lookup, support, diagnostics, and optional image analysis. They may process information only to provide contracted services and subject to applicable safeguards. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect safety and rights, or during a business transaction with appropriate notice and protections.

7. Retention and deletion

Records are retained only as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect security. The release app is intended to include controls to edit records, export account data, and request account deletion. Backups and security records may persist for a limited period before secure deletion.

8. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No internet or storage system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Adults-only launch

Alpha Fitness Tracker’s initial mobile release is intended for adults age 18 and older. We do not knowingly offer automated planning to children. Contact us if you believe a minor provided personal information contrary to this policy.

10. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information, and to appeal certain decisions. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service changes. The effective date will be revised, and material changes will receive additional notice when required.

12. Contact

Privacy questions or requests can be sent to privacy@alphafitnesstracker.com. Please do not include passwords or unnecessary health information in email.
